Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O’Connell (born December 18, 2001) is an American singer and songwriter. She gained her first popularity in 2016, after releasing her debut single “Ocean Eyes” on music distribution platform SoundCloud. She caught the attention of record labels Darkroom and Interscope Records, subsequently re-releasing “Ocean Eyes”.

Her debut mini-album Don’t Smile At Me was released on August 11, 2017. The mini-album reached the top 15 in the US, UK, Canada and Australia and spawned the single “Bellyache”. Ailish also collaborated with American singer Khalid for the single “Lovely,” which was released in April 2018 and added to the soundtrack for the second season of 13 Reasons Why. Her debut studio album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? was released on March 29, 2019. The album went to number one in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia. Singles from the album “When the Party’s Over”, “Bury A Friend” and “Bad Guy” reached the top 15 in the US, the latter reaching number one in Canada and Australia.

Eilish was born in Highland Park, Los Angeles to Maggie Baird and Patrick O’Connell. Her parents work in the entertainment industry. Ailish has Irish and Scottish roots. She was home-schooled and joined the Los Angeles Children’s Choir at the age of 8. At the age of 11, Ailish began writing songs, following in the footsteps of her older brother Finneas (born 1997), who at the time had his own band.

For a long time she took up dancing, but in January 2016 she suffered an injury that permanently interrupted her dancing career.

In October 2015, Ailish recorded the song “Ocean Eyes”, originally written by her brother for his band. Her choreography teacher helped her make the dance for this song.

Her debut single “Ocean Eyes” has racked up over 35 million listens on Spotify as of February 2018 and 110 million views on YouTube as of May 2019.

Her debut mini-album, Don’t Smile at Me, was released in August 2017.
In September 2017, Apple named Ailish an “UpNext artist” from Apple Music.
As of March 2019, Billy is the only artist to hold more than one spot in the top 10 of Apple Music’s global album chart.

Ailish’s debut album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? broke pre-order records on Apple Music’s music platform, officially premiering on March 29th

Stephanie Joanne Angelina Germanotta was born on March 28, 1986. Known by her stage name Lady GaGa, the singer and songwriter from America works in the direction of electronic pop music.

Stephanie was born into a low-income family and is the oldest child of Italian entrepreneurs Joseph Germanotta and Cynthia Bissett. At the age of four, she taught herself to play the piano, picking up tunes by ear, and as a child sang songs by Cyndi Lauper and Michael Jackson, recording her voice on a cheap tape recorder. She’s left-handed.
At the age of 11 Stephanie entered a private Catholic school “Convent of St. Christ”, but was one of the poorest students, so her mother and father had to get several jobs to pay tuition. The famous Hilton sisters studied at this school.
As a teenager, the future Lady GaGa wrote her first song. Already at the age of 14, she hosted open nights. In the theater productions of the school she always got the main roles. She participated in the play “Regis”, played the role of Filia in “Something Funny Happened on the Way to the Forum”, the role of Anna Andreyevna in “Government Inspector”, Miss Adelaide in “Guys and Dolls” and Alice Moore in the production of “A Man for All Seasons”. She also sang in the school’s jazz band.

By the age of 17, Stephanie was one of only 20 people in the world to pass the Cleve Davis Program at the New York School of the Arts Musical Theatre Program early. She graduated far ahead of the others because she was so much smarter than her peers.

Her father paid the rent on her apartment and Stephanie moved away from her parents right after high school. She switched to clubs in lower East New York where she performed with her early bands Mackin Pulsifer and SGBand. Surrounded by musicians and singers who worked in one particular musical style, Stephanie decided to do something fresh and provocative. In 2006, she began collaborating with Rob Fasari, a renowned producer with whom she wrote several early songs, including “Beautiful Dirty Rich”, “Dirty Ice Cream” and “Disco Heaven”. Lady Gaga came up with her stage name when she performed the song “Again, Again”. This nickname is a reference to the song “Radio Ga-Ga-Ga” by the band Queen. The day the nickname was coined, the girl asked to never be called Stefani again among musicians.

At the age of 19, Stephanie signed her first contract with Def Jam, but left the label three months later. In early 2007, she was offered a job with Interscope. The executives hired her as a songwriter and set her up with singer Eikon, with whom she collaborated. While working on demos of tracks, Eikon requested that Germanotta go into the recording booth and do the vocals herself.

In August 2007, Lady Gaga and her showboat performed at the Lollapalooza festival, where they entertained the crowd with their creative shows. And in October of that same year, Stefani combined her love of performance art, rock and roll, 70’s glam rock, parody, heavy metal and came up with a new weekly entertainment program, “New York City Street and Thrash Dance Revival.”

By 2008, Stefani had relocated to Los Angeles to work with her record company on her album “The Fame.” The debut single “Just Dance” was released on April 8, 2008. The song topped the charts in Canada and Australia, but went unnoticed in the United States. Although it was constantly played in clubs, the song was only honored at number two on Billboard’s Hot Dance Songs and Hot Club Songs charts.

In late 2008, Lady Gaga was nominated for a Grammy Music Award in the Best Dance Recording category. And on January 12, 2009, the singer announced “The Fame Ball” tour.

In November 2009, Lady Gaga embarked on her second international tour “The Monster Ball” until early 2011. As part of the tour, the singer plans to visit many countries including the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Ireland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Holland and others. This show is very different from the first tour – it is more “progressive” in every way. With this tour, it became clear that Gaga has not hundreds but thousands of fans at her mercy, who for 2 hours can’t help but marvel at the fashion, debauchery, sex, art and images the singer takes on during the show. In February 2010, a 3D DVD version of the tour was announced.

In March 2010, the singer announced that she had started working on her new studio album. Three months later it became known that she had completed it, but promised that she would not release the CD until 2011, but in the summer offered fans an alternative – an album with official remixes of her most popular hits, which was released on August 3.
